Join both artist and illustrator Lucie and Beverley, artist, art teacher and owner of Atelier Arts of Clitheroe for a creative day of botanical illustration and relief casting in the inspirational setting of Holden Clough Nurseries, set in the heart of the beautiful Ribble Valley, Lancashire. You will receive a welcome drink of fizz on arrival, meet your artists Lucie and Beverley, and a chance to chat and meet your fellow workshop attendees.

Morning session

Botanical illustration - Lucie will guide you through the illustration process where you will learn how to illustrate and draw the basic botanical elements of seasonal spring foliage using a fine-liner pen on paper.

Lunch is provided for you in the Reading Room Cafe.

Afternoon session

Botanical plaster casting - Beverley will teach you the fascinating process of casting, how to - roll out the clay, design and arrange the botanicals, mixing and pouring the plaster.

Once our cast is setting, take this opportunity to relax and take five. Beverley will then demonstrate to you the finishing off stage, this is the most exciting part of the whole process. The big reveal!

No previous experience is necessary for any part of this fabulous two part botanical themed workshop. You will be a guided, step by step by Lucie and Beverley.

All materials will be provided for you on the day.

You will take home a framed botanical illustration and a framed botanical plaster cast, to use as a decoration for yourself and your home or to give as a gift!
